Artist Statement

I have been drawing since I was very young. When I create art I want to create a feeling, a memory and an emotion. Art can be expressed in so many ways. I moved to Ireland from Sweden in 2006, and it wasn’t until around 2011 that my art really took speed, and I started to explore various mediums. I am using watercolours and acrylics mostly, and enjoy working with graphite pencils.

I get my inspiration from what is around me, by being out in nature, visting places, people.

I love working with details, that is one of the reasons I enjoy illustrating classic cars and bikes, and in recent years also including emergency vehicles.  They have beautiful chrome details that you don’t see in the modern cars of today. I grew up on the west coast of Sweden on an island called Orust, located 1 hour north from Gothenburg. I have always loved the sea, and when I create the boat paintings I want the viewer to get a sense of peace and calmness.

During the past few years I have started to draw people, and I relly enjoy that, and yet again work with details, to catch specific features of the person, expressions etc.

In 2020 I received a diploma in Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing.
